PDP rejects court judgement on Edo guber primary, says no cause for alarm

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has addressed and dismissed rumours suggesting that the candidacy of Dr. Asue Ighodalo for the 2024 elections has been nullified.

According to the PDP, the rumours are being spread by elements who are scared of Dr. Ighodalo’s rising popularity.

In a statement, Dr Tony Aziegbemi, PDP Chairman of the Edo State Chapter, clarified that Ighodalo’s position as the party’s flag bearer remains secure.

He emphasized that the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja has not impacted Ighodalo’s candidacy in any way.

”We urge our teaming loyal supporters to remain calm and resolute as there is no cause for alarm,” the statement concluded.
