Kwapong Hall Executives allegedly attacked by Ayawaso West Wugon NPP Dep. Chair, others

There has been an alleged attack on some students of the Kwapong Hall at the University of Ghana, Legon.

A statement from the Hall blamed the attack on the Vice Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ayawaso West Wugon constituency and the TESCON President of the University of Ghana.

The statement indicated that the attack on the office of the Junior Common Room of the Hall was after the electoral commission had declared one Aaron Kumi Akwasi as winner of an election in the hall.

The President-elect is said to have been attacked and removed from the premises of the hall.

After, the Chairman of the Vetting Committee was also attacked by these individuals. They are said to have also attacked the incumbent President of the Hall.

The Hall’s JCR has indicated that they will go to every length to ensure that they seek justice for the persons attacked.
