See List of 17 ‘Disappointed’ NPP Running Mates

MyNewsGh.com has compiled a list of nearly 20 potential running mates of the New Patriotic Party who were beaten by Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh to emerge top.

The list includes individuals who were actively lobbying through direct and indirect machinations to be named running mate.

Also included are others whose names made the rounds in media shortlist as potential running mates but who did not at any point in time indicate they were not interested if selected.

Indeed, the three top most disappointed “running mates” will be Chief of Staff Frema Opare, Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong and Education Minister whose supporters were fighting Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister for Energy for the coveted position.

At the end of the day, Napo emerged tops.

Reasons for Napo’s emergence are that he is resourceful and can face the opposition boot for boot, and he is someone who understands grassroots politics.

He is also said to have good leadership skills, generous and kind, as well as being a known party faithful.

Surveys conducted on the candidates in contention showed Matthew Opoku Prempeh is the best option.
