Withdraw your decision within 3 days or face legal action

Lawyers for the embattled National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 General Elections in the Assin Central Constituency, Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, who has been suspended by the Central Regional Executive for alleged immoral acts, have served notice to the executive to promptly reverse the decision or face the legal consequences.

The lawyers for Mr Migyimah, in a strongly-worded letter addressed to NDC’s Central Regional Secretary, contended that there is no basis whatsoever for the suspension of Mr Migyimah, noting that personal dislike or hatred cannot form a legitimate basis for the frivolous decision to suspend him for six months.

The lawyers gave the executives three days to reverse the decision or face their wrath.

“Take notice and notice is hereby given that you withdraw this obnoxious, loathsome decision forthwith within three(3) days upon service of this letter on you. I have strict instructions from my Client that any failure on your part should result in us employing a legitimate means under the law to resist this planned, calculated and premeditated scheme to tarnish the hard-earned image and reputation of my Client which also seeks to dissipate his rights as a member of the party. Be mindful that in the event of your failure and continuous portrayal of your resolve to carry on with this illegal act, further action will be taken without recourse to you,” the letter from the lawyers said.

Even though the letter suspending Mr Migyimah from holding himself as a member of the NDC and barring him from contesting as the party’s parliamentary candidate did not state the reason for the action, the Central Regional Communication Team has revealed that Mr Migyimah has been in an adulterous relationship with the wife of the Central Regional Secretary of the party, adding that explicit videos of him and the woman in question have been leaked.

But Mr Migyimah has denied any wrongdoing.
