News of Dan Botwe’s resignation from the DMB campaign false

The head of New Media for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign, Krobea Kwabena Asante has described as fake, news that the Chairman of the Campaign, Hon Dan Botwe has resigned from the campaign team.

The Anchor Newspaper in a front-page story questioned the role and continuous existence of Dan Botwe in the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign.

The paper suspected the Member of Parliament for the Okere constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana had resigned since his involvement in the campaign hasn’t been seen in recent times.

But in a post shared via social media, Krobea Asante clarified that the Okere MP is not the campaign manager but rather the Chairman of the campaign.

He added that Dan Botwe remains the campaign chairman and urged all to ignore the fake news.

“Hon. Dan Botwe is not the Campaign Manager for him to resign as the Campaign Manager. He is the Campaign Chairman and has not resigned. Ignore that fake news,” Krobea Kwabena Asante clarified.
