Williams has been in fine form for Spain at the competition, scoring his first goal as La Roja thumped and dumped Georgia out of the tournament following a 4-1 victory.

The Athletic Bilbao forward has been linked with several clubs across Europe, with Arsenal and Barcelona leading the race.

The Nigerian, who left the women’s team of the Spanish club at the beginning of the year remains a staunch supporter and hopes Williams will join the Catalans ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Meanwhile, Williams is expected to make a decision about his future at the end of the tournament despite having three years remaining on his current deal with Athletic Bilbao.
