The Soweto giants have regrouped for pre-season training and are waiting for the reported new coach, Nabi Nasreddine, to come and take charge when the Moroccan season ends.
Nadi has been given the mandate to build a winning team that could challenge the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates and restore the former glory of Amakhosi.
How much Kaizer Chiefs will pay Nabi
Meanwhile, when Nabi finally completes his move to Kaizer Chiefs, he is expected to overtake Mamelodi Sundowns’ Rulani Mokwena as the PSL’s highest-paid coach, IOL reports.
Nabi will earn 33.5% more than he does now in Morocco, bringing his total pay to €40,000, or around R783,000 when he signs the dotted lines with the Soweto giants in a few days.
Mokwena, Mamelodi Sundowns’ coach, is supposedly the highest-paid coach in the DStv Premiership right now, earning more than R600,000 each month.

Amakhosi make Cavin Johnson decision
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kaizer Chiefs decided to retain Cavin Johnson despite calls from aggrieved fans asking for the manager to be sacked by the club’s management.
The 65-year-old was in charge of the club during their dismal second half of the season, which many have branded a disaster.
After leading Amakhosi to a 10th-place finish in the just-concluded season, Johnson’s name is far from the fans’ favourite.
