Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, is a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics.
Born in 1968, he began his career as a medical doctor with training at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He then went into politics, joining the New Patriotic Party and becoming the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency in 2009.
In 2017, Prempeh took on the role of Minister of Education, implementing various reforms in the Ghanaian education system.
His tenure ended in 2021 when he was appointed Minister of Energy.
Dr. Prempeh is a respected figure who continues to serve Ghana in a leadership role. With all these qualifications and experience, we have learned that Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia will likely pick him as his running mate.
Is Matthew Opoku Prempeh Married?
The married life of Matthew Opoku Prempeh is not very public. Reports regarding his present marital status are contradictory.
News reports from late 2023 stated that he had remarried following a previous divorce. According to some sources, he was doing this to increase his chances of winning vice president.
Others close to Prempeh, however, disagreed, claiming it was an old photo that he had been married for some time and preferred to keep his family private.
Therefore, even if it seems like he is married right now, his wife’s identity is still a mystery.
