David Mitchell is a famous British comedian, actor, and writer who has starred in many movies and written a number of books.
We know or can tell you that David Mitchell rose to prominence alongside Robert Webb as part of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb. The duo starred in the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show, in which Mitchell plays Mark Corrigan.
David Mitchell Career Start
David Mitchell’s career began at Cambridge University. There, he joined the renowned Footlights revue, a breeding ground for British comedy talent.
It was here in 1993 that he met his comedic partner, Robert Webb.
Their act took off at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Mitchell also honed his writing skills with freelance work on sketch shows.
By the early 2000s, Mitchell was building a name for himself in British comedy.

Meet David Mitchell Parents Ian Douglas Mitchell and Kathy Grey Mitchell
David Mitchell’s parents, Kathryn (née Hughes) and Ian Mitchell, were both in the hospitality industry.
Originally hotel managers, they switched careers to become lecturers in hotel management when David was young.
This decision allowed them to spend more time with their two sons, David and his younger brother Daniel. Mitchell’s mother is Welsh, while his father has Scottish ancestry, leading him to identify as British rather than solely English.
