Sports Brief earlier reported that Osimhen returned home to Olusosun for the first time since winning the 2023 African Player of the Year award.

The in-demand forward scooped the award as the continent’s best player at the glittering gala held in Morocco at the end of last year.

Osimhen spent a brief time in Nigeria before and after the Africa Cup of Nations as the Super Eagles finished the tournament in Ivory Coast as runners-up.
