Kaizer Chiefs star, Mduduzi Shabalala, set Premier Soccer League rivalries aside as he was seen training with two Mamelodi Sundowns players ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The midfielder is hoping to break into the plans of Amakhosi’s new head coach and is keeping fit during the summer holidays in Johannesburg.

The Glamour Boys are reportedly close to appointing Tunisian manager, Nasreddine Nabi, who could be in charge of pre-season training at Naturena.

According to a report by the South African, the 20-year-old joined a small group of players as he prepared for his club’s pre-season training.

Football SA shared a picture of the Kaizer Chiefs midfielder training with Mamelodi Sundowns’ Neo Maema and Terrence Mashego on X.

The viral picture stirred different reactions from fans on social media.

Kaizer Chiefs set to face Yanga SC

Sports Brief also reported that Young Africans will face Kaizer Chiefs in a pre-season friendly as the Amakhosi aim to rebuild after a poor campaign in the DStv Premiership last season.

The Tanzanian champions are preparing for the 2024/25 season after a successful 2023-24 season, where they won a third consecutive Premier League trophy and the Federation Cup.
