Tragically, 56-year-old American Samoan actor Taylor Wily, who had experience in MMA and sumo wrestling, died in June 2024.
Before becoming well-known to audiences, Wily was Teila Tuli, a powerful competitor in the sumo world.
After making the switch to acting, Wily became well-known for his portrayal as Kamekona Tupuola on the hit TV show Hawaii Five-0.
Fans were drawn to Kamekona because of her charm and ingenuity, which helped make her a cherished regular on the show.
Wily also contributed his comedic timing to the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He even made an early cameo as an extra in Magnum, P.I., a show he would return to as a Kamekona-related character.

The parents of Taylor Wily are not known to the general public.
Details regarding his parents are still unknown, despite the fact that his sister Alyssa Wily Tonga was mentioned in memorials and news reports following his death.
