Leaked NIB reports not credible

Communications lead for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has challenged the veracity of the National Investigative Bureau reports that puts Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh at par with other individuals who want the Running mate position.

According to him, no such report has been submitted to the office of the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and since it came in a PDF format, he cannot trust the authenticity of the document.

“I haven’t seen any NIB report, the NIB hasn’t also sent any report to Dr Bawumia and the campaign. Like I said there is no veracity to the report like I said. It is a PDF document thrown into social media and cannot be verified.

It was not from the NIB and I’m sure if it was from the NIB we would have had a copy by now. I can tell you that for a fact. So I believe that if there is any such document we will have copies and so it is difficult to speak to such a document we cannot verify. Tomorrow morning anybody can produce any PDF document.

This is a document that hasn’t been verified and we’ve checked and we have not received copies,” he said.

He indicated that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party in choosing a running mate will make his decision based on science and data adding that every indicator will be thrown into the port to ensure that he nominates a running mate who will complement him from all angles, politically and ones he forms a government.

A supposedly leaked report on the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer’s choice for a running mate has gone viral on social media.

The report pegs Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the favourite to pair with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
