Burna Boy and Davido fought over a song I wrote – Yonda explains

DMW’s multi-talented singer-songwriter, Adeniran Abayomi Adetunji popularly known as “Yonda” has detailed how two of Africa’s biggest singers, Davido and Burna Boy fought over a song he produced.

Yonda has writing credits to several artists including Davido and Mayorkun.

In an interview with Ameyaw TV, the ‘Las Vegas’ hitmaker explained in detail how Davido used an old song he recorded for Burna Boy in his new album.

He said: “I am going to be sincere and I don’t care what any of them thinks about it. I wrote the song to Burna first but I think he slept on the song so David took it from him. I am signed to Davido but there was a time both Davido and Burna Boy wanted to sign me but I ended up signing with Davido because I was more comfortable with that team.”

“After I got signed to Davido, Burna still f***ked with me because I am real talent. We still did songs, one was titled ‘New Broom’ which was what Davido titled ‘INTRO’ on his new album.” he added.
